Moving Australia's Freight Since 1998

Built on the road, one run at a time

Our Story

HB Trans was founded in 1998 by Harry Chahal, a former long-haul driver who knew there was a better way to run a transport business — one built on reliability, honesty, and genuine care for customers' freight. Starting with a single Kenworth and a handshake agreement with a Melbourne produce wholesaler, Harry built the business run by run.

By 2005, HB Trans had expanded to 20 vehicles and opened its first Melbourne depot. The refrigerated division launched in 2009, responding to growing demand from food manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies who needed a cold chain partner they could trust. Today, HB Trans operates from depots in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth, covering every state and territory.

Safety

Every driver, every load, every kilometre. Our safety culture goes beyond compliance — it's the foundation everything else is built on.
